It’s hard to believe that 2017 came and went and now we are in quarter one of 2018! We wanted to give you a little update of what our nonprofit is up to. As a board, we sat down in quarter four to decide what this year would look like for us. As a group, we decided we really wanted to place our focus on a single project at a time. What this looks like is our team will work with other nonprofits to offer a training resource package using a framework called Human Centered Design Thinking. This includes using a curriculum from their Field Guide, focusing on an activity called Framing Your Design Challenge to identify the scope of the project-at-hand, and build an effective partnership based on needs. Our board went through this process as an organization and we found using the same process for other organizations would be the best method to form partnerships. Through Design Thinking, we can offer organizations program re/design, re/branding, and identifying ways to bridge the gaps in our communities. Stephen uses this curriculum in the classes he teaches at OSU and has seen amazing success in his students, and we are already using the framework with an organization here in Oregon. Along with this new organizational design, we continue to sell used technology. Our sales are going really well, and we still have many laptops, printers and many desktops available. If your organization is on a tight budget, but needs equipment they don’t have, check with us! Remember, we will customize systems to fit your needs and they are price competitively.
